About the Trust

NELGT provides a trustworthy way to support local ministry without being tied to wider denominational structures or contributing to work that may not reflect evangelical convictions. We pray our presence will grow overall gospel work in the local area through increased giving.

NELGT is run by trustees from Bible believing churches in London who commit annually to its Statement of Faith. It is a registered charity with full accountability and legal responsibility to the Charity Commission. The Trust follows clear Donations and Grant-Making Policies, and all finances will be published transparently.

The Trust is independent of local churches, with no overlapping trustees, but aims to work closely with churches in the Waltham Forest area that agree with our Statement of Faith.

The current trustees are:

Brian Shaw - Brian is a member of St John's Walthamstow, where he serves as a Sunday School teacher.  Brian works in technology for a food & beverage company.

Katie Shaw - Katie is a member of St John's Walthamstow where she serves as a Sunday School teacher.  Katie works in risk management for a London housing association.

Sarah Lui - Sarah is a senior local government officer, and serves alongside her husband at St John’s Walthamstow.

Jenny Pilcher - Jenny lives in Walthamstow and serves as a bible study leader at St Helen’s Bishopsgate. She works as a solicitor.
